Aspire One Dental COVID-19 Update
Level 1 update
The Australian Dental Association and federal/state governments have lifted restrictions for elective surgery, and recommended that dental clinics can now operate on Level 1 Service restrictions. At Aspire One Dental, we are now able to resume all types of dental treatment for patients who are healthy and not considered at risk patients.
Visit the ADA website for Full Details: https://www.ada.org.au/Covid-19-Portal/For-the-public
What does this mean?
Level 1 restrictions permit all dental treatments using standard precautions for people who do not meet epidemiological or clinical risk factors for COVID-19 infection transmission. Non-urgent treatment for people who do meet epidemiological or clinical symptom criteria for COVID-19 risk should be deferred.
Patients will be asked to use a 0.2% chlorhexidine mouthrinse prior to starting a procedure. Social distancing measures have been set up in the waiting room as well as the staggering of appointments. We ask that all patients sanitise their hands with the alcohol-based handrub provided when they present at reception.
We want to ensure the safety of all our patients and staff with appropriate pre-screening for all patients. This includes whether the patient has:
- been overseas in the last two weeks
- had contact with a known/suspected COVID-19 case in the last two weeks
- resided in or visited a known high-risk area with a cluster of cases
- recently tested for COVID-19
And has demonstrated any of the following symptoms:
- a cough
- sore throat
- shortness of breath
- other respiratory symptoms
- recent loss of smell/taste
